[ARCHIVED] Bowie's Memorial Parade is Saturday, May 26

Document

This year’s Parade Grand Marshall is Robert West, a Vietnam veteran who served with the United States Air Force. Our Honored Guest is Major General Rodger Blunt, United States Army (Ret). The Parade will also feature a variety of veteran groups, seven bands, including the United States Fife and Drum Corp, Bowie State University Marching Band. Bowie High School Marching Band, John F. Nicoll Pipes & Drums, dancing groups, and an assortment of civic organizations.

The parade will march down Belair Drive toward Sussex Lane. Then it will turn right on Sussex Lane and right again onto Stonybrook Drive. The parade continues onto Sage Lane where it will disperse. Make sure you get your spot along the parade route to view the colors, spirit, and talent that is sure to be displayed by all parade participants.

Following the parade, please join us at Acorn Hill Park for the distribution of awards to parade participants. What better way to welcome in the summer and honor our fallen heroes!
