[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing for Development of Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report

In accordance with guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), notice is hereby given that the City of Bowie, as an entitlement participant in the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, solicits public participation in the development of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for fiscal year 2019.  A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 8 p.m. at Bowie City Hall, 15901 Excalibur Road, Bowie, Maryland. All City CDBG documents are posted on the City’s website: under “Grants”.

The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) provides a yearly accounting of CDBG and other funds allocated towards the implementation of objectives outlined in the Five Year Strategy Plan, which is included in the Consolidated Plan for Community Development. The Five Year Strategy Plan identifies community needs and proposed solutions in the areas of Housing, Special Needs, Economic Development, and Non-Housing Community Development. The CDBG program supported the Single Family Housing Rehabilitation Program, Workforce Development Training Program, Fair Housing Training, Consolidated Plan Development, and the AI Update during FY 2019.

The “Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report, FY 2019” will also be available for review on the City’s website, at the Bowie Public Library, the Bowie Senior Center, and Bowie City Hall from     August 1, 2019 – September 2, 2019.
