The City of Bowie has contracted with E & R Services, Inc. (“E & R”) for the construction of the Northview Drive mid-block crossing.   The work consists of, but is not limited to, changing the four-lane system of the road to a two-lane road system and installing mid-block crossing for pedestrian safety and trail commuter access.  It also includes installing traffic signage as a part of the road safety improvements and new lighting system for improved visibility to the traffic and commuters during the night.  Electrical work will be performed by BGE.

There will be partial road closures during the construction with E & R providing traffic control, including signage and flaggers.  The area of construction is highlighted in the map attached.

Work is expected to begin on Monday, April 26, 2021 and will be performed Monday thru Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The duration of this project is limited to 120 days.
