[ARCHIVED] Block Grant Annual Action Plan Virtual Public Hearing #2 on March 30

In accordance with guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), notice is hereby given that the City of Bowie, as an Entitlement Community in the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, solicits public participation in the development of the Annual Action Plan for fiscal year 2023 (HUD FY2022) at a Virtual Public Hearing to be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 6 p.m. Residents can register at this link to participate in the meeting: All City CDBG documents are posted on this website at

The Annual Action Plan provides the City’s planned programs and resource allocations for the implementation of objectives outlined in the Five Year Strategy Plan, which is included in the Consolidated Plan for Community Development. The Five Year Strategy Plan identifies community needs and proposed solutions in the areas of Housing, Special Needs, Economic Development, and Non-Housing Community Development. The City’s CDBG programs are the Single-Family Housing Rehabilitation program, the Workforce Development & Life Skills Training program, and Fair Housing Training. These programs are available for residents throughout the City.

The “Draft Annual Action Plan, FY 2023” will be available for review on this website at from April 18, 2022 – May 18, 2022.
