[ARCHIVED] Paper Shredding & Styrofoam Recycling Event is Oct. 8

The City of Bowie scheduled a paper shredding and Styrofoam recycling event at the Public Works Solid Waste/Recycling parking lot located at 16300 Annapolis Road on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Residents can bring up to five tall kitchen bags or five archive boxes for shredding.

This event is first come first served. The PWD has allocated three trucks to this event, and when the three trucks are filled, the event will end, even if it is before 2 p.m.

Documents may be observed while they are being shredded and Styrofoam must be free of any debris (glue or tape).

At our last event in June 2022, 15.57 tons of paper and 55 pounds of Styrofoam were collected.
