[ARCHIVED] Learn about New Proposal for Bowie Marketplace at Virtual Stakeholders Meeting

Berman Enterprises, owner of Bowie Marketplace, is submitting an application for Detailed Site Plan approval of a multi-story consolidated storage use and car wash proposal that is intended to replace the approved 225-unit multi-family apartment building on the vacant five acres behind the retail shopping center.

The plan includes a 275,100 square foot consolidated storage building complex consisting of two phases - a 132,300 square foot, three-story building (Phase 1) and a 142,800 square foot, four-story building (Phase 2). In addition, a 4,575 square foot car wash building is proposed along Superior Lane.

Per the City Council’s Development Review Guidelines, a City Stakeholders Meeting shall be scheduled as soon as possible, even before an application has been officially filed.  A virtual Stakeholders Meeting and two City public hearings will be held to review the proposal on the following dates:

  • VIRTUAL STAKEHOLDERS MEETING:  Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 7 p.m.
  • BOWIE ADVISORY PLANNING BOARD: Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7 p.m.
  • CITY COUNCIL:  Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 8 p.m.

To attend the virtual meeting, you must register here. You will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the meeting. The meeting will be conducted in Listen Only mode, and questions may be submitted via the Q&A function. In addition to the City’s meetings noted above, the developer will be holding a Virtual Neighborhood Meeting on Monday, October 3rd at 8:30 p.m. To attend this meeting, join the live Zoom meeting here.
