[ARCHIVED] Learn how to save water at home. Attend the Use Water Wisely Workshop on March 23rd.

To provide awareness about the need for saving water, Bowie’s Green Team is hosting a free Use Water Wisely Workshop. The workshop will be held on March 23rd, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowie City Hall in Room 243.

Presentations will focus on where Bowie's water comes from, why water conservation is needed, and best practices for water conservation that residents can adopt in their homes and yards. Attendees of the workshop will have an opportunity to receive giveaways that can be used for water conservation such as drip irrigation hoses.

The workshop will also start promotion of My Water Pledge. This is a friendly competition between cities across the U.S. to see who can be the most “water-wise.” Residents may choose to conserve water on behalf of their city through a series of informative, easy-to-use pledges online. More information can be found at www.mywaterpledge.com.
