The City of Bowie, Maryland is soliciting qualified snowplow contractors to provide snow plowing services to the City for the upcoming 2022-2023 winter season. Both corporate and sole proprietor entities may apply. A Snowplow Packet may be obtained at no cost from the Public Works Department by submitting a request to receive documents via email to Carissa Sullivan at .   This solicitation will remain open until March 17, 2022.

            The City does not offer a sign up bonus. Contracts will be evaluated based on available equipment and experience according to the Snowplow Contractor Selection Policy. The City undertakes to rotate assignments among its various snow plowing contractors and a contractor’s services may not be requested by the City during any given snow event.

The City encourages certified minority, women and disadvantaged business owners to submit a contract.
