Annual Bonsai Show at the Senior Center2018-10-17T09:00:00The Bowie Senior Bonsai Club will hold its annual bonsai show in the lobby
of the Center. The show will feature bonsai of all members and two master
works of James Sullivan, renowned bonsai master.
While the art of bonsai (pronounced bon-sigh) has long been associated with Japan, it actually originated from the Chinese practice of penjing. The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum has one of the largest collections of these timeless trees in North America.
The club meets on the third Wednesday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m. New members are invited to join.
