    Tuesday, December 10, 2019 – Special City Council Meeting – 6:45 p.m. Special City Council Meeting - City Council will convene the meeting at 6:45 p.m. A motion will be made to move to closed session for two reasons per Statutory Authority to Close Session, State Government Article: §3-305(b)(7) for the purpose of consulting consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matter and §3-305(b)(14): Before a contract is awarded or bids are opened, to discuss a matter directly related to a negotiating strategy or the contents of a bid or proposal, if public discussion or disclosure would adversely impact the ability of the public body to participate in the competitive bidding or proposal process.

  2. Bowie Advisory Planning Board

    December 10, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

    A development of 80 single homes is proposed to be built in the northern part of the city, at the end of Old Laurel Bowie Road (now known as Lloyd Station Road). The Advisory Planning Board will hold a public hearing for a Preliminary Plan #4-19003, Pecan Ridge Subdivision. Senior Trips

  1. Festival of Lights at DC Temple

    December 10, 2019, 4:00 PM - 9:30 PM

    Make the season special with a trip to the DC Temple. We will start out with a catered boxed meal from Panera Bread right here at the Bowie Senior Center. At the Temple Visitor Center we will enjoy a beautiful display of lights, a crèche exhibit and a one hour holiday performance featuring Southern Virginia University Choirs. Cost includes a light dinner, admission and City of Bowie transportation.Trip registration opens on Friday, Nov. 8th.
