  1. Public Meeting - Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing

    December 5, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Prince George’s County Sports and Learning Complex, 8001 Sherriff Road, Landover, MD 20785

    Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development and the City of Bowie need your input! The Analysis of Impediments (AI) to Fair Housing Choice Report will inform County and City policy on housing for the next five years. The County and City are preparing the joint AI as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The County and City of Bowie will examine policies and practices that: • attempt to alleviate housing discrimination within their jurisdictions • promote fair housing choice for all persons • provide opportunities for all persons to reside in any given housing development • and promote housing for persons with disabilities The public meeting is to provide citizens with the opportunity to address and comment on the County and City of Bowie’s plan to identify impediments and to expand housing choice.   1. ICE at National Harbor

    December 5, 2019, 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM

    The must-see holiday attraction is back – ICE! featuring the 1957 Dr. Seuss classic, How The Grinch Stole Christmas! Watch how the Grinch tries to steal Christmas from the Whos of Who-ville through interactive ice sculptures and displays. Everything is hand-carved from 2 million pounds of ice! After visiting the ICE display and Christmas village, have dinner on your own at Gaylord Hotel with an indoor snow event or opt to take the Bowie bus down to the shopping and restaurant area. Temperature inside ICE is a chilly 9 degrees. All entrants are provided with parkas. Be prepared for a fair amount of walking and lots of Christmas spirit!
