Ray’s Towing Service, LLC, is an existing nonconforming use located on Parcel 95. (Parcel 95, an “L”-shaped lot with frontage on both 10th Street and Zug Road, contains Ray’s Towing Service and a single-family detached dwelling. The address for Ray’s Towing Service is 12705 10th Street; the address of the residence is 8510 Zug Road.) Parcel 95 is zoned R-R (Rural Residential), where a towing service is not a permitted use. (A nonconforming use is the use of any building, structure or land which is not in conformance with a requirement of the zone in which it’s located.) Ray’s Towing Service, the applicant in this case (#NCU-1-20), is requesting a Certification of a Nonconforming Use, to certify the existing towing service as nonconforming so Prince George’s County will be able to issue a Use and Occupancy Permit for the towing service use to continue
