    The Malcolm “Skip” Popp Award is presented to members of Scouting organizations for extraordinary and distinguished community service. The purpose of the Malcolm Popp Award is to foster a tradition and spirit for the kind of service to Scouting and the community of Bowie, as was exemplified by Malcolm “Skip” Popp, who gave his life rescuing a Scout during a camping trip in 1971. Deadline is 3/19, at 5 p.m.

  1. Administrative Review Board & Board of Appeals - Virtual Meeting

    March 18, 2021, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Microsoft Teams virtual meeting. Call 240-508-7148 to be added so you may attend the meeting.

    The Administrative Review Board (ARB) was created as an appeals process for person(s) aggrieved by an action of the City Manager or a City Code Enforcement official. This Board also sits as the Board of Appeals (BOA) to review and render decisions on applications for variances to certain sections of the Bowie City Code. The next meeting of the ARB/BOA is Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 7 p.m. virtually through Microsoft Teams.   2. Annual Action Plan for Community Development - Public Hearing #1

    March 18, 2021, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Zoom meeting

    The Annual Action Plan provides the City’s planned programs and resource allocations for the implementation of objectives outlined in the Five-Year Strategy Plan, which is included in the Consolidated Plan for Community Development. The Five-Year Strategic Plan identifies community needs and proposed solutions in the areas of Housing, Special Needs, Economic Development, and Non-Housing Community Development. The City’s CDBG programs are the Housing Rehabilitation program, Fair Housing Training, and the Workforce Development & Life Skills Training program. These programs are available for residents throughout the City.
