The Committee consists of 9 City of Bowie students from grades 6 - 12, who have the opportunity to provide positive leadership and service, and engage the community. Each of the four Bowie districts is represented on the Youth Advisory Committee.

Two Youth Advisory Committee adult advisors work with the students and guide the Youth Advisory Committee. Advisors are appointed to two-year terms.

Both the student positions and the advisor positions are voluntary. No financial compensation is provided.
